Steve Creighton grew up near Warsaw, Indiana. He majored in both Art and Business at Valparaiso University as an undergraduate and continued his art education with graduate art courses at Indiana University. His still life and landscape oil paintings have won numerous awards including multiple Best of Show distinctions.
Creighton’s paintings are held by collectors throughout the country. He is a “Signature” member of Oil Painters of America, a "Signature" member of the National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society and a "Signature" member of Hoosier Salon. He loves the challenge of national and international competitions. His works have been exhibited in Indiana, Alabama, North Carolina, Utah, Texas, Ohio, Tennessee, Maryland, New Mexico, Virginia, Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas and Florida. Recently, his painting won the Still Life Award of Excellence at the 2024 OPA Juried Salon Show of Traditional Oils held in Indianapolis. He also served as one of the Jurors of Selection for the 2023 NOAPS Spring On-Line International Exhibit. His studio is in Warsaw where he lives with his wife, Sue.
